Legacy HS Girls Golf policies and expectations

                                                                         Player responsibilities/expectations

  1. Academics are the priority! Athletes will be expected to maintain grades and eligibility during the season.  Non-compliance of the school eligibility policy will result in an athlete being ineligible to compete in tournaments and or practice.
  2. All players are expected to treat others and all facilities with the upmost respect.
  3. Players are to be on time and prepared to participate for practice, tournaments, and teambuilding activities. Please wear golfing attire at all Girls Golf related activities that align with the school dress code policy.
  4. Failure to comply with the above mentioned expectations will be dealt with on a case by case basis. Consequences will be imposed for non-compliance of responsibilities and expectations.  A three strike policy will be implemented and with the acquisition of a third strike the athlete will not be eligible to compete in the next scheduled tournament which includes Regionals and State competitions.  Strikes include but are not limited to: absences, tardiness, not being prepared for practice/tournaments, and disrespectful/unsportsmanlike behavior (this could also result in receiving more severe consequences).  Each additional strike will be dealt with on a case by case basis as well as subsequent consequences.
  5. Attendance at all practices is an expectation that is highly regarded. Once an athlete has accumulated 5 absences for any reason the athlete will be ineligible for the next tournament.  Additional absences after their 5th absence will also result in the athlete being ineligible for future tournaments.  In addition, a player being absent the day before a tournament will not be eligible for that tournament.
